Prayer Request

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

God Answers Prayer!

Regardless of His situation while here on earth, in both the best of times and the worst of times, Jesus turned to God in prayer. Through prayer, He received from God all that He needed at that very moment in His life: direction, focus, total commitment, courage, strength, release... So too, through prayer, we can receive the blessings which communication with God can give. Let us pray as Jesus did.

The Intercessory Prayer Ministry of First United Methodist Church provides a vital ministry in the life of our church as it supports those in need through prayer. This ministry includes the clergy and the staff of the church who pray on Tuesdays as a group. Most importantly, it includes members of our intercessory prayer ministry who pray throughout the week.

"My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." (Mark 11:17)

First Methodist maintains a community help line.  If you would like to speak to someone, please call 806-438-6542
