There are many opportunities to become involved in this wonderful local mission. Family Promise of Lubbock's mission is to provide homeless families with children the tools necessary to achieve long term financial, parental and personal self-sufficiency through a comprehensive program of temporary housing, case management and supportive services. FUMC members provide the following services:
¨ Meal Hosts: Sunday School Classes and FUMC Groups provide meals for every night the families are housed in our Outreach Center. Meal Hosts arrive between 5:00 and 5:30 to host and eat with the families. Other activities include, fellowship time, children’s activities, homework and family time.
¨ Overnight Hosts: FUMC overnight volunteers arrive at 8:30pm and leave at 7:00am. Security is present and the families are very appreciative of your time and dedication.
¨ Day Hosts: FUMC volunteers host families the Hope House at 1511 Ave M. Bring a book or hobby to host and make the house accessible to the clients.
