CONGRATULATIONS TO NOAH WYNNE-MORTON
Winner of the 2009 Wells Organ Competition for Young Organists
 
Juilliard School student Noah Wynne-Morton competed on April 18 against two other finalists for the grand prize of $2,500.  He will be returning to FUMC to present a solo recital as part of the FUMC Vesper Concert Series
 
The three finalists in our 2009 competition were:
Noah Wynne-Morton (Juilliard School)  - 1st prize winner
Keenan Boswell (Juilliard School) - joint 2nd prize winner
Aaron Tan (University of Michigan) - joint 2nd prize winner
 
Each presented a 30-40 minute performance in FUMC Sanctuary 
Our three final round judges were:
Dr. Timothy Albrecht (Emory University, Atlanta, GA)
Jeremy Bruns (St. Paul's Cathedral, Buffalo, NY)
Dr. Andrew George (Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX)
 
To reach the final, the competitors were chosen from the entrants in the preliminary CD round, held in Dallas in February 2009.
Our preliminary round judges were Mary Preston, Dr. Kenneth Hart and Dr. Bradley Welch
