Evensong at FUMC
Evensong is a peaceful and
reflective service of praise and prayer. Beautiful
choral music is an important part of this liturgical form of
worship, and for these services the FUMC Music Department collaborates with St. Paul's-on-the-Plains
Episcopal Church, Lubbock. The Schola Cantorum choir
is made up of members of both churches, and other
accomplished singers in our community.
We have two Evensongs scheduled
during 2010-2011:
Sunday September 26, 2010, 7:00
p.m., at St. Paul's
Sunday January 30, 2011, 7:00
p.m., at FUMC
On Sunday, September 14, 2008, Schola
Cantorum, performed for the first time at Evensong.
