FUMC Lubbock 2019 Bahamas Mission Trip

Thank you for showing an interest in joining the mission trip to the Bahamas with the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock, partnering with Bahamas Methodist Habitat, MethodistHabitat.org. The steps below will guide you through the process of becoming a Bahamas Trip Team Member! Please feel free to contact Sara Lattimore or Kirk Dana if you have any questions or concerns.

Step 1: Review the trip dates and begin praying about this trip.
Step 2: Complete the Mission Trip Application Form online. These are due no later than October 1, 2018..
Step 3: Once your application has been received, the team leaders will review it. Then you will be contacted regarding your acceptance to the team.
Step 4: Upon notification of acceptance, submit the following:
- A $100 non-refundable deposit (due by Oct 15). (Make checks payable to “FUMC Missions”. If deposit is not turned in by deadline your placement on team will not be guaranteed.)
- Emergency Contact Information Form
- Medical Information Form
- Liability Waiver & Release Form
- Passport (We will make a copy of your passport and return it to you.) If you do not have a current passport, you need to apply for one ASAP as it can take up to 6 weeks to complete. You may apply at a local US post office (5014 Gary Ave) or at the Texas Tech International Cultural Center (601 Indiana Avenue).
Step 5: You can then start fundraising for your trip through people that you know. We can provide you with a letter template and process that you can give to other to help with funding your trip. All donations are a tax-deductible gift to the extent allowed by law.
