February 10, 2018 • 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Rev. Tamara Strehli is associate pastor of Sierra Vista UMC in San Angelo, where she has served for four years. Tamara is a graduate of Texas Tech University, receiving an undergraduate degree in Family Studies and a master’s degree in Sports Health. During her later years in Lubbock, Tamara was a member of First UMC, where she was involved with the 9:30 service. It was during her time at First UMC, that she began exploring a call to ministry. In 2001, she began her studies at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. After graduation in 2005, she began pastoral ministry and was ordained an elder in the UMC in 2009. Prior to going to San Angelo, she served two churches in the San Antonio area – five years as pastor of Jefferson United Methodist Church and three-and-half years on staff at Windcrest UMC. She has a passion to help people grow in their understanding and identity as beloved children of God, encouraging them to seek to follow Jesus and allow His character to be formed in them through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. She is recently married to Rev. Ben Hubert and has two dogs, Angel and Gracie. She enjoys walking and being outdoors, cooking with her husband, and when she can get to the mountains, snow skiing.
