Good Friday First Students Crosswalk
Students and leaders walk through downtown Lubbock and lead scriptures in reflection of Christ’s crucifixion. Everyone is welcome. We end with lunch at Giorgio’s.

Good Friday - Tenebrae 2026
Tenebrae service is focused on the passion and death of Jesus, characterized by the Latin word for "darkness". It features the gradual extinguishing of candles, including the Christ candle, alongside Scripture readings that trace the events from the Last Supper to the burial.

Helping Hands Ministry Workday - 2026
We have selected the home for our 2026 Helping Hands Mission Project, our 25th home made safe, warm, and dry for a senior homeowner. Join us for a church-wide workday as we paint and add finishing touches to the exterior. No special skills are needed, and everyone is welcome!

Vesper Concert Series - Organ Recital: James Kealey
Winner of the First Prize and Audience Prize at the 2022 American Guild of Organists’ National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance (NYACOP), James Kealey is a young artist of great distinction who has appeared in recital in England, U.S.A., and Europe. He is a candidate for the Doctor of Music Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music in the studio of David Higgs. Kealey also serves as Co-Director of Music & Fine Arts at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church outside Philadelphia, PA. All Saints Concert - Vesper Concert Series
This concert commemorating the Feast of All Saints serves as a prayer for the repose of the souls of the dead as well as a celebration of the saints in heaven. The FUMC Chancel Choir, chamber orchestra, and organ presents Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, Op. 9. Published in 1947, this work masterfully blends the timeless melodies of Gregorian chant with the luscious harmonies of French impressionism and the compositional discipline of the neoclassical movement.
