As of July 1, Jeff Fisher has taken on the role of Multi-Site Pastor at First Lubbock. Alongside his responsibilities within the church, Jeff is actively engaged in working with new groups forming in the Lubbock area that will be affiliated with First Lubbock. His primary focus is on launching and nurturing these new faith groups, ensuring their growth and sustainability.

Before his current appointment, Jeff served as the Director of Transitional Ministry for the NWTX Conference. During his time in this role, he played a crucial part in the original formation of many of the groups. His work with these groups was aimed at creating a solid foundation for their development, and now he continues to support them as they evolve into sustainable extensions of First Lubbock.

Jeff’s involvement in the church community extends beyond his role as a Multi-Site Pastor. He presently serves as the President of the NWTX Conference Board of Trustees and holds the position of Chair of Conference Global Ministries. Prior to his appointment to the Conference, he served as a pastor at First United Methodist in Anton and in Shallowater. His experience as a leader is further underscored by his roles as Lubbock District Lay Leader, Conference Lay Leader, and General Conference alternate/Jurisdictional Conference Delegate in 2016. Jeff has also served as the Ad Board Chair at First Lubbock.

Jeff’s educational background reflects his diverse interests and his drive to constantly expand his knowledge. He graduated from Lubbock Coronado High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and sociology from Baylor University. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University. Currently, Jeff is pursuing a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from the United Theological Seminary, with an expected graduation date of December 2024. This educational pursuit reflects his deep commitment to personal growth and equipping himself to serve his community more effectively.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Jeff is a devoted family man. He is the proud father of two sons, Jack and Levi, aged 16 and 15, respectively. His parents, Johnny and Jone Fisher, have been longstanding members of First Lubbock, and their influence has undoubtedly shaped Jeff’s commitment to his faith and the community.

With his wealth of experience, extensive involvement in the church, and dedication to service, Jeff Fisher is poised to make a lasting impact as a Multi-Site Pastor. His leadership and guidance will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of the new faith groups in the Lubbock area, ensuring that they become thriving and integral parts of the First Lubbock community. Jeff’s commitment and passion for Jesus make him an exceptional leader, and his continued contributions will undoubtedly shape the future of the church community in Lubbock.
